The University of Alabama at Huntsville has a Nontraditional Student page as part of their Counseling Center site. The page explains that nontraditional students there have unique needs. The page provides a link to the Adult Student Center site at: http://www.adultstudentcenter.com.

The University of South Alabama has a scholarship that targets nontraditional students. A story about this scholarship is here.

The University of South Alabama, Baldwin County Campus, has a page explaining how most of the students attending school there are adult students. They offer credit and non-credit courses, courses at different times of day and night, and have a scenic location. Find out more at the site: http://www.southalabama.edu/scesp/bcc.html.

Troy University, Montgomery Campus, is "dedicated primarily to serving the 'nontraditional' student, who is often a working adult" with an average age of 28. Their main page is here: http://montgomery.troy.edu/.

UAB in Birmingham, Alabama has a special nontraditional student entry page on their website that talks about nontraditional students as worthy additions to the campus. I like that!

Interesting news: at least one older nontraditional student from Alabama participated in the NASA Student Launch Initiative. Neat!
